DISTRICT DATABASE
http://directory-online.com/rotary/login.cfm?D=6920
Above is a link to the sign in page for the District and Club database (DaCdb) where you can access and edit your personal information and do assorted other things. Please do go to this site and make sure the information on file for you is both complete and accurate. You will use your email address as a username and your Rotary International member number as a password. You can find your member number on the mailing label of your Rotarian magazine. One you are in, you can change your password to something less cumbersome, if you desire.

Need a Make-up?
You can do a make-up on line. Visit www.rotaryeclubone.org. This is a valid make up sanctioned by Rotary International and the Standard Club Constitution does not restrict how many times this form of make up can be used annually.

Shelter Box USA
A few weeks ago our club heard from Shelter Box and many of you have contributed either by buying a box or by joining with others to buy a box. The club also contributed funds to buy two boxes. Thanks to Cap Breese for bringing this program to us and to all of you for participating.

Rotary Foundation
Thanks to all of our members, our club is currently running 2nd in our district on per capita giving to the foundation. We are a little more than $50 per person behind the leading club. Surely we can catch up in the next few weeks. Why not donate to Rotary Foundation until, as David Stoval said, it feels GOOD. Thanks for you efforts. Remember, our goal is for each of us to give at MINIMUM $100 each year.

Since its inception, The Rotary Foundation has collected and distributed more than $1.5 billion with the general purpose of "doing good." In the 1930's, The Rotary Foundation made its first grant in the amount of $500 to Easter Seals and it has been growing through the generosity of Rotarians throughout the world ever since.

Paul Harris Home
The Paul and Jean Harris Home Foundation has been organized for the purpose of buying the original Harris family home and restoring it to its original grandeur in time for the Rotary Centennial Convention in Chicago in June of this year. If you would care to be part of this historic movement go to www.rotaryhistory.org/comelybank to view the entire project.

The 4-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?

  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?

  3. Will it build GOODWILL and
    BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

From the earliest days of the organization, Rotarians were concerned with promoting high ethical standards in their professional lives. One of the world's most widely printed and quoted statements of business ethics is The 4-Way Test, which was created in 1932 by Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor (who later served as RI president) when he was asked to take charge of a company that was facing bankruptcy. This 24-word test for employees to follow in their business and professional lives became the guide for sales, production, advertising, and all relations with dealers and customers, and the survival of the company is credited to this simple philosophy. Adopted by Rotary in 1943, The 4-Way Test has been translated into more than a hundred languages and published in thousands of ways. It asks the following four questions:
